I have both. I found the Luxe a tad more fitted, shaped like underwear a little more than the rumpknits. The rumpknits seem to have a longer body style. Does that make sense

Function wise. They work about the same.

I was looking at the rumpknits- I was thinking they might be better than Luxe for my long baby. True?

I just got a pink medium Llamajama soaker that I LOVE, but just barely covers her behind. Fits perfectly everywhere else, though.

I, too have been making similar ones. I think you just need to check the rises before ordering. Heres a pic of one I did recently for a ds mama.

i have lots of solid colors of wool, in addition to these. I think they are different and unique, though they have the same pull-up style comfort.
