sposies at first

we are expecting twins in another 5ish weeks and are planning on cding them. we're going to start off with sposies for the first 8ish weeks or so just until we get our feet under us and i'm not sure what kind of sposie to buy. we want dipes that are environmentally friendly and will do the job of containing bf blowouts.

i've been looking at 7th generation and earth's best. any recommendations???

Nature's Babycare diapers are made out of corn. We used them for the first month when my 2nd ds was born. They worked just fine. Here is a link:

I'd buy small packs of everything to see what fits your babies best.

Everyone I know swears by Pampers Swaddlers, but nothing but Huggies fit DS well (I like the Pure & Natural ones, although the Little Snugglers fit the same - I hated the Snug & Dry ones).

I tried the 7th generation with DS1 and didn't care for them so we just used Pampers swaddlers and loved those. This was before we started CDing though so I don't know if I'd like them now anyway. I also used Huggies at night sometimes for DS2 when he was a NB and those worked great too. He was a chunk though and would never poo at night.

Pampers swaddlers are my favorite hands down for a newborn.

Okay, I'm surprised anyone likes Huggies because for us they were just terrible! Leaks and blowouts all the time. That's the regular ones and the pure and natural ones. We ended up using Pampers Swaddlers and luvs, which are pretty much the same cut-wise, the pampers are just a little softer.

Haven't tried any of the crunchy disposable brands, though

pampers swaddlers! In the newborn size they have a little line outside that turns blue when they pee. Helpful for knowing that's going on with them!

For the first week or 2, I liked Pampers Swaddlers b/c it has that indicator line showing when the diaper's wet. Sometimes it's hard to tell in the beginning. Then, once I can easily tell, I like the Huggies Gentle Care. Their Pure and Natural ones are good, too. Not a fan of Luvs for a newborn, too stiff.

Re: sposies at first

I used Huggies Naturals for the first few months, and had a package of Pampers Swaddlers and a package of Earth's Best thrown into the mix, too. Though the swaddlers were a bit more plush, I preferred the Huggies just because I could *at least* feel good about the fact that there weren't any chemical poured onto the planet from their manufacture.

Earth's Best sucked for their lack of absorbancy and frequent blowouts. Not to mention they were very rough, EXCEPT for the super plush fabric side tabs.
