Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

DD1 7 months
DD2 6 months
DS 13 months & counting!

We tried to give DS a bottle of cow's milk 2 weeks ago, and he didn't know how to drink it! He can drink from a regular cup or a sippy cup w/o the stopper inside, but he hated the cow's milk when we squeezed it onto his tounge! Mama juice is sooo much his favorite!

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

I nursed my first DS on demand until he was 2. Then I was sick of nursing bras and bought myself some pretty regular bras! After that he nursed in the morning and at night. We slowly got down to just in the morning.

I had to cut him off completely at around age 2.5 b/c I had to take fertility drugs to try for #2. If it wasn't for that he would probably still be nursing today at almost age 4.

My YDS is only 4 months and will nurse as long as he wants to, I imagine.

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

DS1: 18 months (when I got pg w/ dd)
DD: a little over 30 months (I was several months pg w/ ds2)
DS2: still going at 23 months, and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

So I voted 3 times.

Call me crazy! Dd is 20 months old and we are still bfing. My sister bf'ed her dd until 14 months (weaned because she was pregnant) and her ds was about 28 months when he weaned.

My guy is 6 1/2 months old and we are going strong, I plan to go as long as he wants and let him self wean when he is ready. I will not do anything to encourage weaning, I will just go by his cues.

My DS is 15 months and nursed 4-6 times in a 24 hr period. He doesn't show ANY signs of weaning. I'm okay with this. I'm still holding my breath and waiting for someone to say something to me about him still nursing! Augh!!

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

While I only nursed my DD for 4 months (never exclusive, we used formula)... I plan on nursing my DS for 18-24 months. Actually, I plan on letting him self wean, but my "estimate" is that it will be around that time frame.

My first LO nursed for such a short time because my milk never came in fully. I would barely produce 4 oz in a 24 hr time frame. This time around, I'm able to nurse exclusively as well as pump a nice supply for the freezer.

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

DD1 was only 6 months which I regret . Worked full time and pumping was really hard to do there sometimes and I got pregnant with DD2. Wish I would have tried harder.
DD2 was 10 months. Again got pregnant and was trying to be a vegitarian (lol didn't work out) so I was scared one of the babies would suffer from my poor nutrition.
DS is 13 months and still nurses constantly.

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

I selected 9-12 months, but all of my kids have weened right a the 12 month mark. My littlest one is 9mos and I expect she will also nurse at least that long.
