Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

I voted 18-24months and other. My ds is 21months and still nursing even with me being pregnant. I chose other cause I plan on letting him self wean, same with the new baby.

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

DS1 nursed until a couple days shy of his 2nd birthday.
I plan to nurse this LO until he's 1 y/o then as long as he wants after that (within limits, mine being that I would actively wean if we started to approach 3).

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

DD nursed for 14 months.
DS#1 nursed 9 months (then went ona nursing strike, but I didn't know what it was and he just took to the bottle. )
DS#2 nursed for 20 months and I weaned him when I was 7 months pregnant because it was causing me to have giant contractions.
DS#3 is almost 11 months old and going strong. I have no intention of weaning him before his second birthday, and then we'll see how it goes after that...

I have been nursing my dd 16 1/2 months. She only nurses once, sometimes twice a day now. I would like to nurse until she is two. I don't know if she will want to though.

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

I checked "other" because my eldest nursed for 39 months. My youngest is still nursing so I have no idea when he'll stop. Hopefully not anytime soon. I definitely encouraged my daughter to wean when she was 3+ because I was nervous about her continuing, but I have a lot more confidence now, so I imagine I won't be as pushy with my son.

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

DD is 15mos and still going strong. She mostly likes to nurse to sleep and in the morning after her "O's" aka store brand Cheerios. She loves solids but still falls back to mama milk! I go back and forth between clw and wanting my body back as it's gotten more painful as she gets sloppy about her latch when nursing to sleep. She *may* naturally wean when I go away on a business trip for 3.5 days in September. I probably won't nurse past 2yrs just because the logistics are already getting challenging with my crazy-active girl. We'll see.

I weaned DD at 12.5 months because I thought that's just what you were supposed to do. The goal with our next LO is 2 years. I've already talk to my mom and DH about it, who are both fully supportive. It was important to me to get their support.

Re: How long has your LO breastfed?

I am still nursing my youngest, who is only 5 months. He has never taken a drop of formula.
I have nursed all 7 of my children.
The longest I nursed was 2 years 8 months with my now 8 year old. She was VERY attached to mamma.
Most of the other's have self-weaned between 9-14 months.
