How do you use Oxiclean?

I got some Oxiclean Free to use with my regular laundry, and I was wondering how everyone uses it on their diaper laundry?

Re: How do you use Oxiclean?

Hmm.. I'm curious to see what everyone else says. I fill my washer with water, add my detergent, a small amount of oxiclean (i'd say about 2 tbs.), then dipes and let it do its thing! When I started using oxiclean, I added an extra rinse, just in case.

I use it as a laundry booster. After doing a cold rinse, I run an extra hot wash w/ Tide and Oxyclean (the baby version).

Re: How do you use Oxiclean?

i add about half a coffee scoop to the first rinse in cold water (no detergent, only OXI) . then i do an actual hot/cold wash in which i add my charlies soap. and then i add in an additional cold rinse. so my washing machine fills up with water 4 times. and then i put my micro inserts into the dryer while i hang dry (in my laundry room) the covers/pockets.
BTW, im not sure if you guys know...but using the dollar store version of oxi is just as good!

I use a mix of 1/2 oxclean, 1/4 borax and 1/4 washing soda to wash my dipes. That works for us!

I like the Sun brand found at walmart. Every once in awhile I add a couple scoops of oxygen bleach to a hot wash, then stop the cycle and let the diapers soak 4-6 hours. Finish the cycle, run an extra rinse, and nice clean diapers

Re: How do you use Oxiclean?

I do a cold rinse with nothing. Then a full wash with the "prewash" option, the oxyclean goes in that prewash cycle 1/2 a scoop and I use the versitile formula of oxyclean, someone told me not to use the baby or free version, can't remember who or why though. then it does the full wash with my soap but the oxyclean is still on the dipes as it drains the "prewash" water but doesn't rinse it away. No extra rinses.
