Re: Please tell me the truth!!

I don't, but my DD is very active and she has been known to take off her own diapers. I always put a cover over it. This summer I'll be using lots of fleece covers over prefolds and fitteds. Fleece is great b/c it's breathable and it washed up really well. I don't mind her going outside and playing in the dirt in a diaper with a fleece cover.

Yes, I have used a snappi without a cover in the past. I have a hole in my couch cushion to prove it and ds had a big welt on his leg too I still use snappis but will NEVER use them coverless on an active baby...and that's the truth :P

Re: Please tell me the truth!!

I did too. Until DS got stuck. Tore up my couch and left a bad mark on him. Never again!

Hey Monica - it's Deborah from BBC. Anyway we use bsrbs with snappis coverless at home and my LO is about 6 months old and he is learning to crawl and rolls all over the place and it stays in place just fine. Your little one is adorable by the way!!!

I have been breaking out the pins a lot lately, so it probably won't be an issue for us this summer.
This! I've been snagged and bitten, but my kids have not. I also put prefolds on backwards (I think it's the diva fold?) so the Snappi is in the back and less likely to get caught on something.

BTW, stephcrouse, love the name Bennett! I thought that was going to be my son's name, but I was wrong. Still on my list for next time, though, lol.

we used to with dd1 but she is a toddler now and I find that the snappis are really uncomfortable for her to wear now

Re: Please tell me the truth!!

Never. The first (and last) time I used a snappi, my ds and I both needed stitches from the claws tearing into our skin. I stick with pins.

Re: Please tell me the truth!!

Nope, we never do it. Maybe for the 10 seconds it takes me to chase him down after a diaper change and he's crawling away before I could get the cover on, but that's it. I'm just too chicken that it'll snap or claw him!
