My Mood:
Cost effectiveness: Charlie's Vs. Homemade

I've been wanting to make my own laundry detergent for months, and finally found a recipe I'm happy with. I love that I can use it on Baby because it's gentle, and I can vary it to use for CD's too.

Except...I can't find washing soda. Anywhere. No one in El Paso has even heard of it. So I'd have to order it online, and it's like $9 + shipping. Plus I have to order the castile soap.
Or, I can order two bags of Charlie's from Amazon for $25.50 with free shipping. And it will last me over 6 months, and that's including diaper laundry when I get to start doing it this August.

So what works best for you, cleaning-wise? And what works best for you, cost-wise?
