How do you remove KAM snaps?

Ugh, I am sleepy and just applied a snap crooked while converting my BB minky cover...sigh. How should I remove it? needle nose-pliers?

I use... the pointy nail cutters.. I think they are cuticle(sp? ) cutters. Works wonders and i have never ruined fabric that way.

I have to remove a 'stud' - so would i just cut off the little plastic "bump" in the center of the stud?

I put the cutters under the stud part, between the snap and the plastic.. And Cut. I normally do both sides and it will normally just fall right off.

i use a big pair of pliers and go between the cap and the fabric just be careful when taking snaps off anything as they tend to fly sometimes.

Like the first pp, I use something similar - I found my husband's wire cutters work really well. :P

I normally break out the street-strength jackhammer LOL I'll have to try some of these more ginger methods.

well I can safely say DON'T try prying them off with a screw driver....I stabbed myself under teh finger nail...not fun. I did find heating a butter knife in the flame from the stove then putting it against the bump in the middle of the snap that holds it on to work very well though.

ok, i had heard that if you heated up a fork or knife on the stove, you could use that to melt the centre. so i tried it once and it totally didn't work. i couldn't figure out why until i read your post. i have an electric stove. yeah, i was holding a fork to the hot element. wow. i can't believe i just admitted that; how embarrassing. "gee, i wonder why isn't this working?!"

I melt out the middle but I have some sort of woodworking tool for it. It's the fastest way with the least likeliness of damaging the fabric.
