Re: bottle recommendations??

That Adiri Breast bottle from One Step Ahead is a grand concept. It intrigued the heck out of me when my now almost 7 yo was teeny. They were like $25 then but I had to have one. What a piece of crap. The nipple is hard on the end, like a silicone button that you have to poke a hole thru, so is drippy. It's very diffiucult to get the base on right so it doesn't leak all over the place. Neither the now almost 7 yo or Kirsten would take it and it just made me want to cry when all the milk I'd pumped at work was all over the place because that bottle is such a piece of crap. I think it's a huge play on a nursing mother's hormone induced emotions to want to provide something closer to the breast. Maybe some people have had good results with them, but I ended up giving mine to my LC friend at the hospital. She couldn't get it to work either but uses it as a display at BF classes she teaches for what NOT to buy.

Re: bottle recommendations??

BF babies can be very picky about bottles! I think I have bought everything because DD will only use bottles with very soft nipples (like mom). We ended up using the Dr Browns - both styles. These are great becuase they create a vacuum within the bottle requiring the baby to let go and allow air back in.

Re: bottle recommendations??

We used the Gerber Comfort Grip. They had a nipple that my 2 babies had no trouble switching to and from, and they were affordable. I wouldn't buy alot of anything really till you see what the baby will prefer.

Re: bottle recommendations??

I agree with all of the other PPs. Just buy one of each kind before you try them. I registered for a LOT of Avent bottles b/c that is what they recommended. Well, they leaked and even the slowest nipple was too fast for DD.

I ended up using the Playtex Ventaire bottles with the wide nipple.

Babies can be picky!

Re: bottle recommendations??

Avent leaked like crazy and DD hated them. I got her to take MAM bottles and then moved to Playtex nursers. The MAM bottles are a PITA to clean. I love the Playtex bots cause you pitch the liner and only have to rinse the nipple. You really can get by with one bottle if you have to. They're awesome! I know Avent started making one with a liner too, but I'd go with the original. They're the best and baby can drink them without learning out to tip the bottle backwards cause you can squeeze out the air.

Re: bottle recommendations??

The only bottle my 4 children would take was the Playtex Nurser with the clear nipple. It was soft just like mama. The other bottles seem to have hard nipples. Just my

I haven't had any issues with Avent
