Question Best double stroller???

Ok ladies,
I'm going to have a 2nd baby and I think I'm going to need a double stroller because Riley won't be 2 when #2 gets here! DH and I are talking about a Phil and Ted's:
http://www.cottonbabies.com/product_...roducts_id=803
But they are very expensive.
There is nothing at BRU online that makes me want to drive up there to check them out. I hate the wide ones and the huge ones!!
I want something easy to maneuver, light, and comfortable for both babies.

What do you suggest??? TIA!!

I have a joovy caboose for my two dc. Here's the link to some info: http://www.joovy.com/pages/pd_caboose.php

When my ds was born dd was 2 and a couple of months and she loved to walk around but got tired quickly. The caboose allows her to get in and out as she pleases or to stand up while still being pushed around in the stroller. It was about $170 (plus tax) at BRU two years ago. You can also look for like modeled ones at conseignment stores (I've seen a couple that aren't the same brand but have the same function).

Re: Best double stroller???

I have a dbl jogger that I love but it is wide.
my mom got us a jeep dbl stroller (toysrus) that I use for walking the mall, it fits through a single door, holds my 2yr old well and reclines nicely for my infant. it is almost easy enough to manuever for my 4yr old

Phil & Ted's all the way both of ours love it DD is 18mns and DS wil be 3mns on the 12th.

Expensive but worth EVERY penny in our opinion.

Priceless to me, I wish I would have bought it first with DD as just a single and not have had to use that Clunky Graco.

Re: Best double stroller???

I have a double jogger (love it) and a combi twin ex. You might also check out the Peg Perego Aria Twin or the MacLaren (sp?) Twin.

For those that have the Phil & Ted's...how does the baby on bottom like it? Can they see anything forward or just on the sides? I've always been curious - thanks!

I don't know if you have seen it, but I have the Jane Powertwin, expensive also, but it doubles as a jogger, folds up very small, so many great features! I can't say enough great things about it! I love it, worth every penney! My babes are 18mths apart so a good double stroller was also essential! Here's a link to it

Re: Best double stroller???

We have a clunky graco duoglider that my mil got us for free, so no complaints. It's priceless to have something that they will both fit in, and ours can fit my 5mo's infant seat and has a snack tray in the front for my 2yo (a must for us, lol!) I also like front to back, since it can still fit in the gymboree aisles. I have always wondered about the rear passenger in the phil and ted's, too. It looks like a toddler would get tired of being back there.

Re: Best double stroller???

Well after going through 5 double strollers and none of htem being what i liked and not all that functional we have a phil and teds on the way. Actually should be here today I will let you know what i think in a few days lol

we had a front to back which i hated because it was hard to steer
we had a side by side but it was too wide to fit through doors
we had a joovy caboose that was great except if the 2nd child wants to sleep and when you use it with an infant seat it will hit the person in the 2nd seat in the head

so there is my rundown lol

Re: Best double stroller???

I got a Phil and teds, but I'm not in love with it. It'll be great when the baby can sit up, but doesn't work with a car seat. I wish I would have gotten a sit and stand and then sold it and gotten a phil and ted later. I don't feel comfortable putting the baby in the bottom in the winter or anytime there are bumps. So basically its in the way in our 800 sq ft apt
