I am up
With a miserable teething 4 month old, nothing i do is working, I feel so bad
. My first dd sailed thru teething, never drooled, became feverish or screamed her head off.Shes usually such a happy baby too. Is it normal for teething to get worse at night? This is the worst night of a week of progressively bad nights. Any tips on how to get her to sleep, shes refusing to nurse as well

Re: I am up
Unfortunately, this probably won't help you tonight, but if you can find some clove oil tomorrow (I had to get mine at the health food store) you can dilute it and rub a drop on her gums. It will probably burn at first, but within a couple of minutes she will be numb.
As for whether or not it is normal for it to get worse at night, I think it is just that during the day there is enough to distract them from the discomfort, at least a little bit. At night there isn't the distractions. |

Re: I am up
Yes, teething seems to bother them mostly at night, I don't know why.
It is funny that she refuses nursing, it usually helps but also can drive you crazy if you have to nurse 10 times a night. The good thing is that it will pass.
