Cloth Wipes - flannel, bamboo, sherpa or velour???

After reading about cloth wipes, I am gonna give it a go. I just went on Hyena Cart looking and now see that I have to decide what kind of fabric I want them in!

So...flannel, bamboo, sherpa or velour? What do you prefer and why?

I like 2 layers of flannel b/c it's soft and the wipe isn't too floppy in my hand. I can't think of the word to describe it. If you want a combo, I'd recommend flannel/cotton velour. CV is very soft and stays soft

I like cotton velour/sherpa. I like the way flannel feels but they look old really quickly. And lets just say sometimes I need a bit more scrubby action so I use the sherpa side. Cotton velour stays softer a lot longer than bamboo velour IMO.

I like flannel. It does a good job, and lasts for a long time.

I personally love flannel backed terry. Doesn't take up a lot of space and the terry "picks" up everything.

I like one-layer flannel. It gets into crevices easier than two layer, and flannel is nice and soft! (Cheap, too. You can get flannel scraps and sew your own for next to nothing.)

Bamboo velour backed by bamboo baby terry or cotton velour backed by sherpa are my personal favorites! A super soft side and a gently scrubby side.

If you're interested, I offer a cloth wipe sampler package that includes 6 of the more common wipe combos.

Re: Cloth Wipes - flannel, bamboo, sherpa or velour???

we have allot in double flannel - its not as floppy the older kids use it for TP as well

we have flannel/terry for face and hands (like after dinner clean up )

organic hemp/organic fleece (i think im saying that wrong ) these are nose tissues SOFT

face and nose wipes get washed with towels or regular laundry -- but wipes/TP get washed with CD.
