Re: Need advice from mamas that make their own bread?

There is an awesome really quick, really easy Artisan bread recipe that I love. You make the base and can leave it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and make loaves when you want. It just has yeast, flour, salt and water I think... simple! I got it from a magazine "Mother Earth News." I will type out the recipe if you would like

Thanks! Sounds yummy!! I will give that one a try! Anyone have a recipe that uses only whole wheat flour and no refined sugars?

Okay…these are instructions for a bread machine; if you don't use a bread machine, no problem…I can post the mixer directions, too (super easy, as well). I've been thinking of doing a photo or video for the mixer directions. WDYT?

The recipe is posted here (let me know if you try it and if it works for you; if you have any issues, let me know and I'll keep testing to perfect it for your kitchen and tools you have!)

you can make the one I posted with just whole wheat flour and it still turns out. No sugar in it!

This sounds very good! I don't have a bead machine but I do have a kitchenaid stand mixer. The mixer directions would be great!

Sure thing---the original link is updated. I've included adjustments for a KA Mixer or Bosch. Questions--please ask! Happy to help with any kitchen dilemmas!

Re: Need advice from mamas that make their own bread?

I use the artisan bread in 5 minutes a day recipe (well, a cross between that and their whole wheat recipe) and it really is only about 5 minutes of work to start the bread dough, then 5 min of work plus 90 min of waiting on baking day. Best part, NO SUGAR at all. Their website has the recipe for free and if you need tips on how to USE the recipe, PM me.

ETA no kneeding, no bread machine required.
