agreed, solids are great for those days where you don't want to deal with pooling

I dont mind knitting with solids. I dont really mind the type of yarn either. Ive even knit longies in acrylic. Doesnt matter to me. Its whatever the customer wants.

Re: For those who knit, or offer YYMN Spots...
I don't get offended by any yarn a mama buys. Myself, I've still stayed near the more affordable wools simply because it is so easy to come by around here. I love solids too for the non-pooling issues.

Re: For those who knit, or offer YYMN Spots...
Don't get me wrong, I will knit whatever is sent, but if there's a choice between say, $6 on cascade and $10 on BBR... well, one's much nicer than the other and for a $4 difference makes a BIG difference.

I enjoy knitting solids and semi-solids. One of my favorite projects was a solid pair of merino longies I did in a khaki color with a cream pocket. I agree with Laura - I think it makes a tremendous difference if one looks for Purewool or Malabrigo. I don't enjoy Cascade *as* much but still would knit it no problem.
