If you need to use something like Desitin, do you use rice paper liners?

Are these good for using Desitin w/ CD's? Ethan has a small rash, and usually Desitin can clear it up overnight. I'm thinking I may have to use a sposie tonight (b/c I have no rice paper liners) but would these work for the future? Should I get some? thanks!

I'm sure they would, be we use fleece liners when we have to use diaper rash cream with our CDs.

I know they would work, but we also use fleece for diaper rash cream. Can't beat reusable! You can make them really cheap by buying a yard of fleece (I have microfleece) and cutting it up.

Have you tried Wish Garden Diaper Rash Salve? It works wonders for my DS and you don't have to worry about it staining your fluffy!

I have Jack's Magic Beanstalk stuff but when really necessary, Desitin does the job almost immediately. I'll look into purchasing some microfleece.

FWIW, I tried to use desitin with a rice paper liner in one of my fbs. The desitin went right through the liner onto the fleece. A fleece liner might be a better choice; I just put in a flannel wipe and that worked fine, too.

I've had problems with it getting through the rice paper. I use microfleece ones

I use fleece liners, but anything would work- a cloth wipe, washcloth, dishtowel, cut up t-shirt, cut up fleece blanket, anything cloth.

Hope his bum is better soon! Ds needs Desitin when it gets bad too. Others work great for the pink, but the two times he's had a real rash Desitin cleared it right up.

I have used the sposies they send in the mail as free samples, but I'm cheap so when we don't have one of those I just cut a peice of fleece & line the dipe with it!

Hope his bottom is all healed up soon!!

Also, this may or may not be helpful, but I'll just throw it out there:
My mom always used corn starch on our bottoms & I've had great luck with it on my ds's bottom! Those grease type rash creams are great to keep the skin protected, but don't allow for the skin to breath either...
