Yep, I was gonna say the same thing! You can get meat sauce of frozen/premade meatballs and you're set!! Get some of those huge foil pans and fill em up!! LOL
Other than that I would recommend Chili & cornbread. Its easy to make in a big batch and cornbread is good after its sat for a little bit so you can make it throughout the day or in advance. Good luck!!! You're a brave mama!!

ETA: Breakfast... pancakes, fruit and frozen sausage links!! LOL Its quick and easy!!!

LOL! I thought of spaghetti too! I make it often...either that or the other thing I thought of was making a big pot of chili and some bread (cornbread or rolls)

EEEKKK!! I have just never, ever cooked for this many people before.

What about Breakfast Enchiladas?

(make the night before)

2 tsp. vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup each chopped sweet green and red pepper (I sometimes use a little more than this...)
2 cups finely chopped ham
8 8" flour tortillas
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce

In nonstick skillet, heat oil over med. heat; cook onion, garlic and green and red peppers for about 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in ham. Place about 3 tbsp. onto half of each tortilla; sprinkle each with about 3 tbsp. cheese. Roll up tightly and place, seam side down in a greased 13x9" baking dish.

In bowl, beat eggs; blend in milk, flour and hot pepper sauce. Pour over tortillas. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for up to 12 hours. Remove from fridge 30 minutes before continuing.

Bake in 350F oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until egg mixture is set and knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; let stand for 5 minutes. Makes 8 servings.

I find I can make a full batch for less than 10$, probably less per serving if you were to double the recipe. I serve it with salsa and sour cream...

Re: OMG I need to cook for 12 guys next weekend!! Help!

I cook for 8 all day, every day. If eggs are cheap in your area, you can always do eggs for breakfast. Eggs, hashbrowns, homemade cinamon/raisin bread. I'd say oatmeal since that seems to be my kids' favorite and is super cheap but I have a hard time seeing a bunch of grown men getting excited over it. For dinner, just stick with anything that you like to make and can do so easily normally. Soups, chili and spaghetti sauce are very easy to make in large quantities cheaply. And homemade bread on the side and it will make everything taste better no matter what you made. Good luck.

Re: OMG I need to cook for 12 guys next weekend!! Help!

I'd suggest simple things, like subs or tacos. You can make the basics, then lay out the bread or taco shells with all the trimmings and let the guys do the rest. Not much work in cooking with either of those.

For breakfast, maybe fry up some bacon and sausage, scramble eggs (I say scramble because it's quickest, whereas with other types you'd have 8 different orders!), make some toast, maybe pancakes, etc.

Just try to keep it simple. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

What about Tater tot casserole. Doesn't that big family make that (I want to say they ar the Duggars but can't remember their name right now)

For Breakfast I have a great Breakfast casserole that is not too hard to make, I would also say probably not terribly expensive but not sure. Easier than making a bunch of pancakes or scrambling a bunch of eggs. Here it is

Breakfast pizza

1 can crescent rolls
1 lb sausage, browned
1-1/2 c shredded Mozzarella
2 c shredded hash brown potatoes
1/2 c onion, chopped
1/2 c chopped green pepper (opt)
6 eggs, beaten
1/4 c milk
salt and pepper to taste
1 c shredded cheddar cheese

Roll out crescent rolls into 9x13 pan. press perforations together to form a crust. Top w/ Sausage, hash browns, onions peppers, mozzarella cheese. Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over top of pizza. Top w/ remaining cheese.

Bake at 375 for 30-35 min or until the eggs are set in the middle.

I would say this feeds about 6. So you will probably want to make 2-3. This is good leftover too. The only part that has to be pre cooked is the meat. We have used diced ham before as well as bacon. All are good. Sausage or bacon need to be precooked, ham doesn't.
