I've never done it myself, but I have a friend who breaks them open and puts like 6 or so of them together in a tupperware container and freezes them. I'm not sure how long they last though.

Yes, you can freeze them. It is usually best to scramble them up first. But eggs do last longer than you think. We have our own chickens so sometimes have a bit of an abundance of eggs. If you are concerned, just do the sink/float test before using the eggs. Fill a wide glass with enough water to sufficiently cover an egg. Place an egg in the glass. If it sinks, it's fine. It it stands on it's end, it's starting to get a bit old. If it floats, it's bad.

Another suggestion would be to make quiche or breakfast burritos for the freezer. Or there is a recipe for scrambled egg muffins out there. They are pretty decent and freeze well. Or when we get totally overrun with eggs, I take some to church for our priest. I'm sure you could find someone to give a dozen or so away to if you needed to.

DHs grandmother breaks them into an ice cube tray and once their frozen puts them into a ziplock freezer bag so they freeze as individual eggs.
