You know you are a momma when....

Steam cleaning baby poo out of your beige carpet at 8:30 in the morning makes you laugh instead of cry

What have your little ones done to help you earn your mommy badge?

Re: You know you are a momma when....

My DH is a HUGE HUGE dirt/puke/spit up/phobia....

Well one night I just put DS down to bed with DH in our king bed... No sooner then I walked out of the room, I heard the sound of puking.. And my DH screaming.... DS had puked his whole dinner all over DH, and I think there were some organic hot dogs in there... LOL...

Needless to say I was laughing the whole time I was cleaning it up, cause I had already cleaned my share of puke up before, but the sight of my DH screaming, and holding DS up in the air.. LOL

i knew i was a mommy when DS (literally) squirted newborn EBF poo on my face during a diaper change, and i finished the change before wiping it off my face.

Steam cleaning the carpets at 12 midnite @ 37 weeks pregnant.....was nesting just a little!!!!!! Or how about going to the grocery store not realizing you have milk marks on your shirt or puke or worse boogers from your lo's!!!!!

Re: You know you are a momma when....

I'm a mommy 3 times around, but my most favorite "mommy badge" moment had to be when my son (my 2nd) was born. As soon as he came out, they put him on my chest and he peed on me. Natural instincts blocked it with my hand before it hit my face, and all I could do was gaze at him with love. My DH was so grossed out by it. Little did he know he was going to have to change the first few poo diapers (hospital made him do it). I <3 my family!

Re: You know you are a momma when....

You know you're a momma when you have to change a baby on the sidewalk downtown in the middle of lunch rush with people in suits passing by because of a massive poop explosion involving poop in the car, on top of the car, and all over two adults.

Luckily we had a nice comfy changing mat for our little one to lounge on in the middle of all this. At least she was comfortable.

Re: You know you are a momma when....

When DD2 was about 6 months old, DD1 decided it would be a good idea to climb into the her crib early in the morning. She had to go potty, but knew she would get in big trouble for getting in the crib, so she didn't call for me to help her get out (she was 3 and had been potty trained for a year). I was awoken by this frantic crying by DD1 and I ran in the room and she had peed her whole night's worth of pee in the crib, with the baby in it. I was so mad, but DD learned her lesson, and it is kind of funny now.
