Shoe Soles - Pediped, See Kai Run, Robeez?
Hi, mamas. I'm getting ready to order a pair of shoes for my almost-1-yr-old beginner walker. I posted the other day about the best type, and I've decided to go with either Pedipeds or SKRs. Can you tell me about the soles on these brands? I'm going to get either the Pediped Originals or the SKR Smallers. How do they compare to the soles of Robeez (since I know what those are like)? Thanks for your input!

Re: Shoe Soles - Pediped, See Kai Run, Robeez?
well the pediped and the SKR soles are almost the same- thicker than the robeez a bit. I liked both but DD has narrow feet and the pediped are narrower- the SKR are kind of sized for pudgey baby feet. Neith of my girls ever had pudgey feet so I would try them on and see what works.

Re: Shoe Soles - Pediped, See Kai Run, Robeez?
I really liked the robeez mini shoez when DD first started walking, they were terrific. I also liked the pedipeds, but they didn't seem as grippy on the bottom as the robeez (the robeez are a rubbery bottom, the pedis are a leather bottom). My DD also has long skinny feet, so these worked best for us.

We love our pedipeds and get them from abbyslane.com
They're very light, soft and just cute as heck the soles are soft and flexible, very similar to robeez. We also had robeez for DS, but overall preferred pedipeds and Tsukihoshi Kids. These are the lightest pair of walking/running shoes we have ever owned and just them!

I agree that the sole of the Pedipeds seem smoother than the Robeez or SKR. That said, I love all the styles. They fit well and are very light-weight. My favorite new walker brand is Rileyroos. Love how flexible they are! www.tinysoles.com has tons of brands and info.

Well, I had decided to go with the SKRs, but I think I might now be sold on the Rileyroos. Those soles look great! Thanks for your input!!

Re: Shoe Soles - Pediped, See Kai Run, Robeez?
SKR is bendable and still looks more like a shoe than the unstructured look of robeez. the bottom has a nice thread for slippery surfaces unlike robeez.
they also have "muted" brights. i feel like they have so much fall colored footwear!
