Re: What time is bedtime??

Mine are ages almost 2 and almost 4 (18 month difference) Since DH gets up to leave for work at 3AM, we ALL typically go to bed at 8pm... But most nights once DH passes out, I stay up with DS #1 cause he does not sleep well period, he is wired all the time, LIKE ME. So he and I stay up late till around 11 or 12 then go to sleep and I typically get up at 5am and the kids are up by 6am... We have NO really set schedule, but they do still both nap during the day... I only get up so early either cause I have class or cause I can't sleep.. LOL..

Re: What time is bedtime??

my kids are 7.5,5.5 ad 2.5, all go to bed at 8 on the dot. On fridays, ds1 gets to stay up until 9 because we love Smallville and it finishes at 9pm on fridays..lol The other two still go to bed at 8pm. Once summer arrives, we may let them stay up until 8:30, I don't really want to mess with the sleep schedule though.

Re: What time is bedtime??

My youngest doesn't have a bedtime at 18m. He's still too variable unfortunately to have a set bedtime.

My older two are almost 9 and 5.5 years old, and they go to bed at 8pm. They need a solid 12 hours sleep or they are complete grumps otherwise. I have no problem being a mean mom and making them go to bed when it is light out.

During the summer we'll probably let them stay up 9-10, depending on the day. That time in the evening is my and DH's, so I don't like them to stay up late! That's the only time we have to ourselves.

Re: What time is bedtime??

DS is almost 4, and goes to bed around 7:30. DD just turned 1, and she goes down somewhere around 7pm, but doesn't fall asleep until closer to 7:30pm. I start the bedtime routine around 6:45pm, as I put the both of them down by myself.

Re: What time is bedtime??

My 6 month old, 3 year old, 4 year old, and 6 year old go into bed at 7:30. My 3, 4, and 6 year old watch one 30 min program (usually asleep before its over) while I nurse the baby in our bed (we bed-share) All 4 are out by 8:00 unless we have a special family night (saturdays)

My 12 and 13 year olds don't have a bed time. (we home school so I allow them to stay up) They settle down around 10 though in their rooms.

Re: What time is bedtime??

DD is 2.5 and her bedtime is 8pm - and has been since she was about 3 weeks old. She is a naturally scheduled type of person.

She used to have a really hard time if I varied our schedule by even 10 minutes, but she deals with variability much better now. If we're having a bad evening, I'll put her down at 7-7:30 with no issues. And if we're having a good evening or need to be out, she can handle staying up until 9 ok - anything later than that though and she is cranky and "off" for DAYS!

Re: What time is bedtime??

My 14 month old generally goes to bed between 7 and 8, although if he has a late nap it will be between 8 and 9.

My 5 year old goes to bed between 8:30 and 9, although I'll frequently hear him talking or playing in his bed as late as 11:30. I think if he was allowed to set his own sleep schedule, he'd be up until after 10 every night and sleep until 10 or 11 the next morning.

Re: What time is bedtime??

My 2 and 7 year old go to bed at 8:30, unless the 7 y/o had a perfect week at school then they go to bed at 9. Sometimes the 2 y/o still ends up in bed at 8:30 if she's too tired and then sissy comes in at 9.
