Re: What time is bedtime??

My DD is 2 1/2 and bedtime is between 8:30 and 9pm. She has always gotten up later in the morning, which has meant a later nap. It's just kind of what her schedule has fallen into. Works perfect for us!

For the record, I don't think 8pm is too early. But it all depends on your schedule and what works for you. My sister is a teacher and has to drop my neice off at daycare at 7am. So her bedtime is no later than 7pm during the week, normally 6:30.

Re: What time is bedtime??

7 year old goes to bed at 730 and 3 year old at 7. the reason for this is they get up at 600 no matter what time they go to sleep. So this way they actually get the sleep they need

Both our kids (5.5 and almost 4) go to bed at 8pm on the dot.

Re: What time is bedtime??

My son is 4, and his bedtime is between 8 and 8:30 p.m., depending on how much of a nap he had and how tired I am. On special occasions, he's allowed to stay up later, but those occasions are rare.

Re: What time is bedtime??

bed time on school nights is 8-830 for my 7 year old. Same for my 4 year old. My one year old, is snuggled down just after they go to bed. I'm in bed usually by 1030 to 11pm.

Re: What time is bedtime??

Typically my almost 3 year old goes to bed at 8:30. My 19 month old goes to bed at 7:30. Sometimes it's later. Sometimes it's earlier. Just depends on how nap time goes.

Re: What time is bedtime??

dd is 6 and ds is 2. My kids are in bed by 7pm and dd can sometimes read until 7:30 if she's in a good mood otherwise she needs her sleep. DD gets up at 6:30am and ds gets up at 7:30am and neither nap so this works well for us.

Re: What time is bedtime??

The only one with a set bedtime is 6 yo ds. If he is lacking sleep, he is a monster. And he WILL NOT make it up as a nap or by sleeping late. So he needs to be on a pretty strict schedule. I aim for 8 but sometimes run later by just a bit. He is almost always asleep by 9 though.

My dds are more flexible and will either sleep later or take a nap. So, we don't tend to worry about them.

Re: What time is bedtime??

It varies, 9pm-10:30pm and sometimes as late as 11pm. School doesn't start until 8:50am here. The earlier they go to bed, the earlier they wake up. There is no reason to wake them up at the crack of dawn and miss out on an extra hour of work out time alone. DS1 doesn't nap, but DS2 still naps for an hour at about 2-3pm. If I were to put them to bed at 8pm, they would be up 5-6am NO THANKS! Its also very, very hot here. They only time its somewhat nice outside is late in the afternoon. I'd hate to keep them indoors all day because of the heat and then just put them to bed once its nicer out. Letting them stay up later allows for an extra hour or two outside while the sun goes down.

Re: What time is bedtime??

Right now DD bedtime is 7pm because school is still in session and she has to be in her classroom by 7am. Summer time bedtime is usually 8-8:30pm. She is 6.
