Re: Do your kids have a t.v. in their room?

There are flat screen TVs in the living room, kitchen, master, guest, game room, fitness room, and garage, but not the kid's rooms. Unless you count their computers that do have TV & DVR capabilities, but they're not setup (also have limited internet access). They also don't sleep in their upstairs bedrooms. We all sleep in the master, but we don't go to bed with the TV on. I usually use it to listen to the news in the mornings while I get dressed or to get away for alone time. We also watch it while we lay in bed and sleep in on the weekends.

No! They dont have a TV and probably never willhave a tV in their room. I dont think kids need a tv. They would stay up all night long...

no and never will! The bedroom is no place for a tv! IMO it can and does lead to sleep problems in children and adults.

I personally am against TV's in bedrooms in general, no one in this house will ever have one including DH and I.

Re: Do your kids have a t.v. in their room?

Mine are almost 4 and almost 2, and they don't have TVs in their rooms. They won't as long as they live here, either. We have a TV in the playroom and the living room. DH and I have one in our bedroom, but it's rarely on. I just don't like the idea of them having a TV in their rooms. I never had one and I managed just fine.

Mine do, technically. They do not sleep in there, we cosleep. Actually, it is more like a playroom...but there are beds in there. And, we don't get any channels, only dvds. And, right now, the dvd player is broken...

We do not have a tv in our room.

Nope, no TV in any bedrooms.

While this may seem true, it just is a blanket statement. Our children have a TV in their rooms. My younger children watch 30 mins at 7:30 and are asleep by 8:00 pm. The TV then goes off. They sleep for 12 hours at night. I watch TV at night in our bed and even with 6 kids, I sleep until 8:30 in the morning. I usually get 9 hours of sleep with an infant.

So not all TVs are bad. Anything in moderation.

I hate the idea of TVs in bedrooms. We have one TV - in our living room. Our bedroom is wired for cable, and DH would probably love to have one in there, but I don't see the need. Bedrooms are for sleeping and romance - not for the annoying noise of a TV!

Re: Do your kids have a t.v. in their room?

I voted no. We only have 1 TV and it's only hooked to a DVD player and VHS player, no actual "television" feed. We rarely watch it so there's no need for another TV. I'm also pretty anti-televisions-in-bedrooms, as I find them not conducive to resting (and I LOVE resting!).

But when the kids get to be older, teenagers maybe, I will have no problem letting them have a TV for their bedroom if they wanted one.
