Yep! Well, my DD is only 10.5 months and we are still working on teaching her to pick up after herself (I'm sure we have a while to go), but I definitely pick up/help her pick up. I appreciate the same respect when people bring their kids to my house. Often don't get it though.

Yes, we always offer/ start picking up; but don't push it if they say no.

Yep...my son is getting a bit Monk-ish with his cleaning (like momma

) and initiates cleaning at everyone's house, whether he played with stuff or not. His favorite saying right now is "this...room...is a...WRECK!!!". I'm kind of afraid he'll go to somebody else's house and say it

Yes. My four year old imitates me and says, "Leave it better than you found it," which can come off wrong to the wrong person.

But, we do clean up. Even if the host says, "No," I explain that I like my kids to be responsible for their mess and at least try to help. Although, I often send families packing and tell them to leave the mess at my own home.

Yep, had that happen to me. I keep a very clean car and one day Lily was looking into her friends car and she said "why is your car such a mess?" Her mom was standing right there, of course.

LOL!! that's too cute! Well, ok, so it won't be if he says it at someone's house...but maybe they'll take the not so subtle hint?? LOL!!!!
