Re: prefold...

I wish I knew abt using a PF on a toddler. My DD is only 6 months, BUT she is crawling and it's like wrestling an alligator to get her in a PF- and that is 80% of what I diaper with LOL! I use a snappi. I get teh PF on with the snappi, let her crawl around, then come back at her with the cover, KWIM?

Good luck, I love my PFs!

On my toddler I only trifold. Premiums are too small to pin or snappi and toddler pfs are just too bulky.

Re: prefold...

DS is super active and I have been using primarily prefolds on him for the past week (waiting for my fitteds to get here & I have almost all our pockets for sale) I pin 99% of the time because I dont like how snappis never seem to stay on right. If you fold the diaper before laying DC down, it goes much faster.

trifold is where you fold the diaper into thirds and lay it inside a wrap cover.

Re: prefold...

I use prefolds on my very active 1 year old. I strip the old diaper off and wipe him without putting him on the changing table (unless he's messy). Then he plays on the floor while I get the diaper ready. When it's laid on the table I grab up a naked butt baby. I use a snappi too, but they don't seem to hold the diaper on as well as pinning. The ssnappis work great if you cover also.
