still spitting up :(
My dd is 12 months now and still spits up almost every time she nurses or eats solids. Some days its only 2 or 3 times, but than there are days like today when its all over her every single time anything goes into her.
![]() Its just so frustrating. Do any of your toddlers still spit up? It's like she doesn't even notice or care that she does it. Up until 6 months it was really bad, but she was never diagnosed with GERD because it doesn't hurt her and it happens more often when she is upright....any ideas or support? I've just never heard of kids this old doing this. TIA

Re: still spitting up :(
I had the same issue with my first two. My first was FF and second was nursed until a yr. They told us she didnt have acid reflex as they were not in pain, but it was bad at times. I went to another dr who told me they had it and would out grow it. Told us what to do, by the time they got on regular milk they were not spitting up as bad. They did out grow and what your saying sounds like my issue. We had to just deal with it, thankfully my third doesnt do this or isnt showing signs yet.

Re: still spitting up :(
Sadly, I can only commiserate. My DD is 14 months...we are on again off again...she was REALLY bad, like potergiest bad for the first 6 months, heinously bad until 12 months, cyclically bad up to last week...we've had a surprisingly good week...maybe we're seeing the end?
I can only say, I really DO understand! *hugs*

Re: still spitting up :(
Dd kept it up and it turned out hers was related to food allergies. Her esophagus would swell, not enough to cause breathing issues but enough to hold the valve to her stomach open. So the acid physically couldn't stay down. Got that diagnosed at age 4, no reflux now unless she is exposed to the allergens.

Have you tried chiropractic adjustments yet? Sometimes that can work wonders on issues like this!!!

Re: still spitting up :(
We've still got it here at almost 14 mos. It's not NEARLY as bad, but he still does it almost daily. He spits up solids as well--ick! I hoped it would resolve when he was walking, but it hasn't made a diff. He takes meds b/c he was in terrible pain when it was untreated.
