Re: Printing off photos of your relatives children....a question
Odd, IMHO...I'd think that if she wants pics, she should ask you.

Re: Printing off photos of your relatives children....a question
I think it depends. I post photos of my kids on social network sites, and my sister prints them off all the time. She's never asked me, but I don't mind. As far as a relative that I don't know too well, that might be weird.

Re: Printing off photos of your relatives children....a question
I was rethinking this, and if your that creeped out about someone having pictures of your baby, then don't post them on FB...
I don't think its really "that" big of deal....I don't really think things out that much though...lol

Re: Printing off photos of your relatives children....a question
If you aren't close, and she has LOTS of pics of your daughter all over her house, I find that weird. First thought that came to mind was those weirdo's you see on due date boards that fake their pregnancy/baby to get attention and use OTHER peoples pictures to use as their own. I could be way off, but that's what came to mind, because it is rather creepy! Now, if it were someone close, I wouldn't mind a bit.
I do have to agree a bit though with the PP, if you don't want to chance your DD's pics getting in the wrong hands, you might not want to post them anywhere on the net. We all know the net has some crazy ppl on here, and that's the chance you take when you post them! It sucks that there are weird/crappy ppl in the world!

Re: Printing off photos of your relatives children....a question
Haven't had a chance to read through the responses, but I do think this behavior does cross some lines, and this is why I don't put pictures of my dc on fb. It is too easy for ppl I never intended to have access to my pictures to get them. It's harder to protect privacy these days, so I do what I can.

Re: Printing off photos of your relatives children....a question
My almost-SIL does this, but she has me friended, so she gets them off my page. I would think it was weird if she got them from someone else's page though...
It further re-affirms that you shouldn't put anything on the internet you don't want anyone, including predators, to see.

Re: Printing off photos of your relatives children....a question
If she was close to you, or had just a few photos, that would be fine. But I think it's weird that you're not close and she has more photos of your daughter then of other children she knows.

Re: Printing off photos of your relatives children....a question
Update for anyone that cares.
She did tell me just recently that she is using someone else's facebook page with their permission. It was one of the people I thought that had given her the password. She told me that she had mentioned it to my dh.....which he does not at all recall her ever mentioning it. He says he found out himself. She says she thinks that it's "odd that he is unhappy with her using someone else's password". After I had first posted this issue, I changed privacy settings on that person that had given her the password so for now she won't be able to see or print photos without MY permission instead of someone else's. She did not say anything about the photos or printing them off. She just mentioned the password after I asked her about that. I am very picky about who is on my friend's list anyway and don't have a problem with anyone that is actually on my list looking at photos of our family. It's that person that is not on my friend's list but is finding a way on anyway that I have a problem with. But I did change privacy settings and did mention to her that it bothered my dh and I that she was using someone's password. |
