Med question

We were at a park today and DS1 (5) had his finger stepped on when he was climbing on one of the structures. He was crying off and on (he's pretty emotional to begin with) when I found out about it. He is able to bend the finger but says it hurts more when he bends it, and after I touched it the once (to examine it) he freaked out telling me not to touch it. 3 hours later, it's pretty swollen looking and definitely has a bruise on the underneath. He still panics if he thinks someone is trying to touch it.

Help us out, we can't decide whether this is worth having seen tonight. And I'm not sure how well this shows the swelling.

Re: Med question

I think he should be fine til morning it is probably just really sore. once he falls asleep try moving them and see if he reacts at all. They might just be sore for a couple days, Good luck hope he feels better

Re: Med question

I'd probably just ice it down, honestly. His finger doesn't look like it took enough to be broken or anything, so I'd say just check it out tomorrow and see if it's doing any better

Re: Med question

It doesn't look like he jammed it up good but I don't think there's much more anyone could do for him. Could take awhile to heal.
