Re: Anyone else getting the "baby bug?"

Haha! Glad to hear I am not the only one! There are always concerns about it being the right time and finances etc. And more babies split your one on one time for sure! I love what love2bmommy said too: "I just have a "baby cold"....not full-blown "baby fever". LOL" That is classic!!!! And Maverick's Mama, I know what you mean also, my first two are 22 months apart and great friends but I remember feeling bad for DD#1 when I knew her only child days were coming to an end.

I had actually intended on having them all about 2 years apart which happen fine for the first three, but we have had different things come up this time around and decided it would be best to wait. However, even if we start trying now, my youngest and the baby will be about 3 years apart and I really don't want them any further apart than that, especially considering my oldest will be 7 1/2! Wow, once you start (if you keep wanting more) you kinda have to keep going haha!

Me too mamas...but that bug will have to wait until next year sometime after DH gets his vasectomy reversal Until then I *may* have 3 kids coming to live with me for atleast a year...so I'll be preoccupied for a while

Re: Anyone else getting the "baby bug?"

I do too! I have 3 girls as well, so the thought of having a boy really makes me wonder how it would change things around here. For now we are waiting until fall-ish to ttc. I'd like to lose a few lbs first and my youngest is only 17 months old so I 'd like to give my body a littler longer break!

DH doesn't want to even start ttc until January but I'm READY now. I want to yank my mirena out and go ahead and see if it happens.

No, your not reading it wrong. A homebirth is illegal is some states. I think that mainly because the Midwives cannot practice since they do not have a lisence because a Certified Nurse Midwife is still allowed to.

No state prosecutes mothers for giving birth outside of a hospital. In 37 states it is legal to acquire the services of a midwife. Many midwives continue to attend mothers in states where it is illegal, while efforts are underway to change the law.

Practicing as a direct-entry midwife is still (as of May 2006) illegal under certain circumstances in Washington, D.C. and the following states: Alabama, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Dakota and Wyoming.[43] However, Certified Nurse Midwives can legally practice in these areas.

Map of states where it is illegal. Illegal is in red.
