LOL. ok you just made me feel better. I love books too. I like holding a copy of the book, as opposed to reading stuff online all the time

None. All they do is make me paranoid.

Exactly. I like reading forums but I would never be able to read an ebook or something. I love my hardcopies.

Re: How many parenting/discipline books do you own?

I think 4?

The Vaccine Book
The Baby Book (baby gift)
What to Expect When You're Expecting (need to get rid of this one)
The No Cry Sleep Solution

I LOVE reading books and I'd own more, but there's no need. I check them out from the library, get the ideas I need, and then return them. If I find that I need the reference (like I did for TVB and NCSS), I buy the book. I've got about 10 more parenting books on my "hold" list with the public library. I'll get them over the next 3 wks or so. If I fall in love with one of them, I'll buy it too.

I also can't do ebooks. There's nothing like actually holding it in your hand and turning the pages. Reading includes a tactile experience for me.

WTEWE the First Year
WTEWE the Toddler Years
No Cry Sleep Solution
Sleeping Through the Night
Parenting from the Inside Out-never got around to reading it though
The Power of Positive Parenting
The Discipline Book
Raising Your Spirited Child
Stress-Free Potty Training

Out of those, I only used maybe 4 a lot. No Cry worked wonders for us. I love Raising your Spirited Child, and of course I has much more time to read WTE and the First Year one before I had a toddler on my hands. The rest, not so much help. I like the discipline books, but once I realized DD was spirited, they haven't applied as much as I would like.
Oh good - I'm not the only one obsessed with reading!!! Here's what I've got. I've read most of them several times and read most of them for the first time back when I was pregnant.

Ina May's Guide to Natural Childbirth
Birthing From Within
What to Expect When You're Expecting (hated this book)
The Continuum Concept (love this one)
Our Babies Ourselves, How Culture Influences How we Parent (this is a good one too!)
WTEWE the First Year (hated this book too)
WTEWE the Toddler Years (this one only kind of sucked)
Dr. Sears Baby Book
Dr. Sears Fussy Baby Book
Dr. Sears Vaccine Book
Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child
The Baby Whisperer
Unconditional Parenting (My FAVORITE)
The Idle Parent (Also very good)
Secret of Childhood (Maria Montessori)
How To Raise An Amazing Child the Montessori Way

I'm pretty sure I've read more (from the library) but those are the ones I own.

Not counting the Bible, none. I did have a few but I gave them away years ago. The only person I would read on the subject of parenting/discipline is Dr. Sears and he thinks what I think so there really isn't any need to read it. We just rely on the Bible and our guts for parenting and discipline matters. I don't think anyone other than us and God knows how to raise our children.
