Diaper Swappers

I didnt know what else to put in my title. Anywho..

My DS is almost 3. He tells me like 10 times a day that his "neener" hurts. So i look at it to make sure nothing is wrong.. even though i know nothing is wrong.. but it makes him feel better.
Everytime i look.. his lil guy is rock hard!!

Is this normal.. this often? I feel bad for him.. Like its causing him pain..

I think they get confused as to what it feels like(although, admittedly I'm a chick). Little boys normally give themselves erections and discribe it as "hurting". I think they just don't understand what is happening, so they think they hurt themselves since it doesn't feel normal.

See now that would make sence... But he doesnt play with himself.. At least that i see.. He gets the typical male morning.. and he wakes up in front of me.. And i have heard of men complaining about their parts when they are really hard.. KWIM?

I just feel bad for my little guy. This is happening more than once a day.

At his age, his undies or pants may be doing it. It doesn't take much to get that little dude to stand up straight at that age. He may just be rubbing against something.
I guess if your worried, you could see a Urologist. To he sure he is okay physically. But I have had many more boys in my DC than girls(15 to 3) and he sounds normal.

From what I've read, it's normal. Maybe he'll get used to it after a while, or possibly you can ask your pediatrician if there is anything that can be done. I don't really think there would be, though. In my limited understanding, it's just one of those things. Maybe just the sensation of it is bothering him for now. Maybe it's just a phase.

My oldest had this same "issue" about the same age. It is pretty funny and a little humilating because he would say "mommy my penis hurts" now matter where we were - home, the store, church, you name it! LOL, kids are always entertaining!

Is he circ'd? Maybe his circ is too tight and when he does get an erection it is hurting him. If he's not circ'd..then I dunno lol

He is. (DHs decision) I never thought about that. Next time it happens i will look and see if it is pulling the skin.

He might really be in pain

Gosh I love Diaper Swappers!!! We have been going through this with my 3yr old DS. About 5-6 times a day he screams "MY PENIS HURTS" no matter were we are, it happens almost every time we are in the car seat and other times he will be sitting fine then scream. Every time I go to look at it, it is fully erect, he says it is sticking up and hurting, he is circumcised too so I will check that too. For others how long does this phase last?? It is quite embarrassing and also annoying (sorry but the high pitched screams in the car and house are KILLING me!)
