Apples...
so my kids do not like raw apples, but we attended a rally for my husbands Union and they gave us a bunch of extra bagged lunches to take home with us and they all had an apple in them. So I am looking for something to do with them!
Please share your apple recipes with me!

Re: Apples...
Homemade applesauce is delicious...we never buy store bought! Just peel, cut up, put a tiny bit of water, boil and then simmer until they're nice and soft... mash with a potato masher and add some cinnamon if you want. That's what we do, and we often eat it on pancakes. Yum! I also simmer together with blueberries for an apple-blueberry sauce - also delicious!
Or slice and eat with peanut butter. ![]() I've also made apple crisp a few times. You could try apple pie too... |

Re: Apples...
Do they like applesauce? You could make homemade applesauce.
But if its just a few, I would make apple cinnamon muffins. |

Re: Apples...
How about a simple apple pie? In mixer beat 3 eggs, add 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of flour. Take a pie pan and butter the bottom and sides. Crumble graham crakers on the bottom. Chop up apples in big or small size (your preference), add walnuts (optional) and pour the dough on top. bake for 45-60mins at 375 or until toothpick is clean. Super easy and yummy!

If your kids do not like sliced apples, have you tried grating them? My son loves them. I just cut in chunks and hand grate or use electric grater. They come out like grated cheese size.
Also, try this Microwaved Bake apples: Core apple, place in mirowave safe dish, add brown sugar and cinnamon into the hole that was cored. Add dab of butter on top. Microwave for 5mins or until apple is soft.
