unexpected early delivery!

I got pregnant with my daughter in Sept 09 and she was due June 14th. My husband had to leave for Korea in January and he was supposed to be home for her birth. to our surprise, i went into labor on april 22! she was born about 5.5 hours after i got to the hospital so my husband did in fact miss her birth. she was 7.5 weeks early and weighed in at 4lbs 7 oz and was 17.5 in long. My husband made it home the following evening after she was born and was home for a month. Emalee was in the NICU for 2 weeks. and if her being early and him only bein home for a short amount of time wasnt enough to make me an emotional wreck, my inlaws decided they HAD to come while my husband was back. it made it harder for me since they really didnt offer any help (like with meals, laundry, etc) and just sat around our house with us. our daughter is now almost 8 months (on wednesday) and thriving! you would never know she's a preemie!
