Well I saw this advertised and want opinions

of those who tried it or not.
Enfagrow Toddler formula for 12-36 mos. Flavors: chocolate, vanilla, unflavored. Claims that it is better than just whole milk,: has DHA, probiotics, iron, vit Ca nd E. etc...
Should I try this with DS? Or forget it?

DS was premature and had severe reflux so he was on breastmilk for 9w, then a thickened enfamil formula til 13months. we slowly introduced organic whole milk, and as soon as he was on all milk bottles, we added 1 bottle per day of enfagrow formula. we bought vanilla since he doesn't get much sugar elsewhere, and he likes it better

but we never planned to go from an infant formula to a toddler formula for all the bottles. just 1 bottle of toddler formula per day.

Okay, yah I forgot to say that my son has drank whole milk for about 5mos now. I juts thought hmmm, does he need these things that are in the toddler formula for maybe one a day?

When we did our baby classes after we had our son, the nutritionist who came to talk to us said she wouldn't reccomend the toddler formula because they have alot more sugar in them then regular milk or infant formula. She said that if a toddler is eating a balanced diet and drinking cows milk already its not necessary.

IMO, toddler formula is something the formula companies invented to convince parents that they should use their products longer. For your average child that is growing at a rate consistent with their growth curve (even if they are on the small side), I wouldn't think it is necessary. If a child has special nutritional needs that cannot be met by table food, then I would look into it. If I were really concerned, I would take my questions to a nutritionist. Most drs. don't know squat about nutrition. Many know only what the formula reps tell them.

Enfagrow has palm olein and corn syrup in it as well as tuna oil and has BPA inside of the cans.
